Limited registration means no puppies produced by the dog will be able to be AKC registered and the dog will be unable to be shown in dog shows. Full registration means the dog is able to breed AKC registered litters, the dog may also be entered into dog shows. No matter whether you receive full or limited AKC registration, your dog is still a purebred AKC Newfoundland.
We recommend waiting until your Newfoundland is between 18 to 24 months before getting them spayed or neutered. It has been proven that neutering/spaying before then can contribute to a long list of health conditions and issues. For many years it was thought to be best to “fix” you puppy before the age of 1 usually around 6 months, but thats no longer the case.
All of our puppies will be up to date on their age appropriate puppy vaccinations before going home and will have been dewormed. You will need to take your puppy in to finish their shot series and receive their rabies shot.
