They are the most phenomenal swimmers and have been used for water rescues for numerous years. Newfies actually have webbed feet which help them effortlessly swim through water. Did you guess it right? 💦🦴
Newfoundlands are big! The average adult female Newfie is between 100-120 pounds and the average adult male is between 130-150 pounds. They gain over 100 pounds in their first year of life! Although they are big in size don’t let that fool you, they will be the biggest lap dog you‘ve ever met! They really do live up to their nickname “The Gentle Giant”.🐕🦺❤️
